Sexting - What is it? Advice for parents and teens

 Sexting is using the internet to share nude/sexy photos.

 It involves:
 1. requesting an image
 2. creating an image
 3. sharing an image with an intended recipient (consensually)
 4. distributing an image to others (non-consensually)
(This behaviour is also a form of cyber bullying.)

Sexting is a crime when it involves people under 18 It’s also a crime when it involves harassing people of any age. It can result in an offender being placed on the sex offenders register.
